Evening at Himeji Station

Back in November I paid a visit to Hyogo Prefecture on an assignment with Japan Travel. After finishing my work for the day, I went through Himeji Station on the way back to my hotel and took a few photos. This was a favorite for a couple of reasons. First of all, the way the...

    Evening Begins In Tokyo

I may have said this before, but Ueno Station in Tokyo is one of my favorite train stations. Much of the photography you see out of Tokyo is focused around the Central or Western areas – places like Shinjuku or Shibuya, for example – and I think places like Ueno are comparatively less popular. Personally,...

      Tokina lenses are good?

      • leslieThanks! 🙂 Yes, I love my Tokina lens. I’ve used it tons since I bought it. Very sharp and sturdy build.

        日本語話せますか?そうしたら、それもいいですよ。:)ReplyCancel

    Ebisu Skywalk to Garden Place

Today’s shot is another I took for GaijinPot last year while shooting the Yamanote line stations for their Japanese study series. This specific photo is from the Ebisu Skywalk, which connects Ebisu Station to the lovely Ebisu Garden Place. Although Ebisu Station itself isn’t all that interesting in my opinion, if you take this path...

      Ueno Burning Bright

I’m not sure how many train stations Tokyo has – hundreds at least, maybe thousands – but I do know that not many of them are especially picturesque. Some are downright drab and run down, while others are constantly under construction, and still others are actually subway stations so there’s not really much to see....
