This is another shot I took last week from the World Trade Center in Tokyo. I saw this road between two tall apartment complexes, and I knew I wanted to get a shot of it, but I wasn’t really sure how. You can’t really tell in this photo, but to the right of the frame, there’s a big park so the space is just empty, and thus the composition wasn’t that great for a landscape shot. But shooting straight up and down seemed kind of boring too. That’s where the simple trick of tilting the camera makes all the difference. I’ve mentioned this before, but it really is a helpful tip for interesting photos in the right situation. In this case it worked so that it seems to me kind of like what someone might see if they were flying through Tokyo like Superman, zipping between buildings and enjoying the view.
